At Sarvodaya Mahila and Gramin Abhivruddi Samste (SMGAS), we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of deaf children in Jamakhandi, Karnataka. Our organization focuses on building the capacity of local entities that work specifically with deaf children, ensuring they receive high-quality services and support. We operate an IMPAIRED SCHOOL that serves 140 deaf children from five districts, offering a specialist curriculum designed to meet their unique needs.

We believe every deaf child deserves a life filled with respect, dignity, and equal opportunities. Our vision is to advocate for their rights and ensure they have full access to communication, education, and protection. Our mission is to bring language and communication into the lives of deaf children and their families, empowering them to engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Led by a passionate team, including President Shrinidhi R Madiwalar, Secretary Savita Anand Gasti, and Advisor Ramesh N Madiwalar, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community where every child can thrive.
